Chef (F/T), Holiday Inn Express Burnley

A position has become available to join the team here at the Holiday Inn Express Burnley.

 Job Specification

You will be working as the sole Chef on shift, catering for circa 30-40 covers per night. Preparation and presentation of dishes to agreed specifications. The menu consists of a combination of freshly prepared dishes with some additional ready to serve products.

 You will be responsible for creating daily specials and providing fresh 3 course menus for our Coach Tour group dinners.

 You will be Responsible for ordering and stock control, delivering health & hygiene to company standards, and menu development in your kitchen

 You will be confident, able to create positive relationships with the team, and have a can do approach towards guests and the team

 Your work hours will be Monday – Friday, 2pm – 10pm predominantly, finish times subject to business demands, with occasional weekends working as dictated by group bookings.

 The ideal candidate should be able to commit to 40 hours per week (5 shifts). You should have an employment history that demonstrates good attendance and time keeping records. References will be required prior to appointment. Candidates must be able to demonstrate an ability to get to and from work on time whether it be by public transport or own transport based on the shifts indicated previously.

 The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of NVQ level 2 and have a minimum of 2 years experience. This opportunity is an ideal step up for a competent Chef de Partie or a Sous Chef.

 This would be contracted hours employment, providing holidays and guaranteed hours of work. Candidates must be over 18 years of age. Training will be provided throughout your probationary period. uniform will also be provided.
