Guest Services Manager, Holiday Inn Express Burnley

We are looking for an energetic individual who is driven by targets, relishes challenges, loves to inspire and lead a team to new levels of guest service and prides themselves in delivering a great product, always looking to be more efficient and effective, able to squeeze extra profit without cutting corners, sales driven with bundles of creative ideas from social media awareness campaigns, simple up-selling or highlighting the reasons to visit Holiday Inn Burnley, the list is endless.

The ideal candidate will already have a background in hospitality, ideally with some catering background, be of supervisor level and looking for their next step up.

This is no ordinary Guest Service Manager role. You will fulfil Duty Manager shifts, be versatile and able to support the hotel team with such tasks as guest check-in and check outs, booking enquiries and more.

You will have accountability for breakfast, lunch and dinner service, group dinners, conferences, food stocks, menu development, working closely with the Chef on seasonal menu changes and bespoke dinners as requested. You should be able to maximise gross profit margins and be familiar with accounting systems; specifically Xero as the role will include reconciling invoices, petty cash and payments

What we need from you:

·         Current driving license

·         Access to your own car

·         No restrictions in terms of work shift patterns or fulfilling all aspects of the role

·         Be able to provide a satisfactory work reference

This is a 5 days over 7 role and will predominantly require you to work evenings and some part of the weekend. This is a salaried position with 28 days paid holidays per calendar year.

On completion of a successful probation period you are eligible to join the bonus scheme. Uniform is provided.

Salary £18,900 per annum.
