We are super excited to announce that Starboard Hotels has set up a charitable Match Funding Programme to double your fundraising efforts.

Here is how it works:

If you and your hotel team raise funds for a registered UK charity or a cause supported by a charity, you can apply for matched funding from Starboard Hotels through our Match Funding Scheme. We will we will match every pound raised, up to a maximum of £5,000 for the 2024/25 financial year.

For example, your team raises £750 for your charity and we’ll donate £750 to that same charity on your behalf. You’ll then have £4,250 remaining in available matched funding for the same year.  

Each year, there’s a limited pot for the scheme and applications will be dealt with individually by the executive team. Starboard Hotels administers matched funding and reserves a general discretion to approve any payment.  


When you can apply

Team fundraising 

If you take part in a fundraising activity you will need to take part as a hotel team to apply for Starboard Hotels Match Funding Programme. Individual fundraising efforts will not be accepted as part of the scheme. There’s no limit to the number of times you can apply to the scheme. You could get matched funding multiple times in the year until your £5,000 pot allocation.  

The process 

  • Apply for matched funding using the application form https://forms.office.com/e/Lb2y5V493Z and attach as much information about your good cause as possible. Don’t forget your hotel name, date and a link to your charity page.  

  • Press submit and your form will be automatically sent to Frazer, Kerian, Ivan and Paul for approval. They will check whether there are still enough funds in the pot and that your charity is appropriate for the scheme. 

  • If your application is successful, you’ll be notified via email that the donation will be made on your behalf. Then all you need to do is raise the money and submit a proof of your fundraising efforts. 

 

Eligibility 

  • Matched funding is open to all permanent employees of Starboard Hotels. 

  • The charity you’re fundraising for must be a UK registered charity or selected school association and must fall within our charitable giving policy.  

  • Starboard Hotels doesn’t support matched funding applications from friends or family. The hotel team must be personally taking part in an activity or event to raise money.
