Celebrating Starboard's Future Leaders At Graduation Event

Starboard is very passionate about providing opportunities for promotion from within the company and giving team members the chance to learn and grow. This is why the training scheme S.H.A.P.E. was created and since its launch in 2019, it has seen graduates from across Starboard Hotels achieve their goals and progress to management positions, including some stepping into General Manager roles.

S.H.A.P.E. is a training programme which provides ambitious and talented team members from across the company’s multi-branded portfolio of hotels with the understanding and experience they need to become future leaders. Through a series of set modules, workshops and different training tasks, the S.H.A.P.E. course covers every aspect of what it takes to run a hotel and be part of a thriving hospitality business.

Last week, Starboard proudly celebrated the latest graduates at a special event at Hampton By Hilton London Park Royal.

SHAPE is all about growth: building skills, strengthening leadership, and empowering our people to shine. The class of 2025 has shown real commitment, curiosity and passion, balancing learning with the demands of busy hotel life.

Sarah Fountain, Owner and Director of Fountain People & Performance who facilitates S.H.A.P.E. at Starboard said “The class of 2025 has been truly outstanding. From the moment they met in January 2025 they have formed long-lasting bonds which have not only helped them to achieve their SHAPE success but also ones that will last a lifetime.  I am extremely proud of their commitment, dedication, development and growth which is recognised across the company, and I know they have all got bright futures ahead of them and I wish them all the success that comes their way”
