General Manager, Holiday Inn Express Leeds City Centre - Armouries

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead Holiday Inn Express Leeds City Centre – Armouries, offering a salary of up to £62,500 plus bonus and benefits, for a confident and experienced hotel leader ready to take full ownership of a busy operation.

This is a key leadership role for an accomplished hospitality professional who understands that strong commercial results come from running a faultless operation with an engaged, motivated team.

The role

As General Manager, you will have full responsibility for the performance and reputation of the hotel, leading your team to consistently deliver great guest experiences while achieving strong financial results.

You will operate with autonomy while benefiting from centralised sales, marketing, revenue, procurement and financial support, allowing you to focus your time where it makes the biggest difference: your guests, your team and your local market.

You will:

  • Take full ownership of hotel performance, including rooms, revenue, costs and guest satisfaction

  • Lead, develop and motivate a talented management team and wider hotel team

  • Deliver brand standards in line with Holiday Inn Express and IHG expectations

  • Drive commercial performance through effective forecasting, pricing and local market knowledge

  • Build a positive, collaborative culture where everyone pulls together

  • Develop strong relationships with brand partners, owners and local stakeholders

About you

We are looking for a confident and commercially astute General Manager with at least five years’ experience operating at GM level.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • A strong track record as a Hotel General Manager, ideally within IHG‑branded properties

  • Proven ability to deliver both profitability and high guest satisfaction scores

  • A clear, hands‑on leadership style that motivates and develops people

  • Excellent operational knowledge and attention to detail

  • The ability to market your hotel locally and build a positive reputation

  • A genuine belief that great teams create great guest experiences
